I'm in Maryland until tomorrow evening visiting Jeff. Mostly been hanging out but I've been doing homework and practicing my new banjo too.

Yesterday I photographed the Hindu celebration Holi, which celebrates the beginning of spring and the arrival of colors back into nature. Each person had a bag of colored powder which they rubbed onto each others faces. I'm posting one of my favourite photos from the shoot, but I may post some later as well.

While driving to Ithaca to do some documentary project research I saw these birds flying back to the north for the spring.



This bird was having some trouble getting in the air, most likely because he had a stick up his butt.
