In the past week, I've driven about 900 miles, from one internship, to home, to the next. On the way I've exchanged too many hellos and goodbyes to count. I ate a garbage plate, drank yerbe mate in an old bank, photographed a senior portrait session, road the Ravine Flyer 2 many many times, learned to cheat at an arcade game, exchanged my little red car for a slightly bigger sand colored Honda Civic, ate taffy at the Waterford Fair, went to the movies with my mother, swang on the swings in waterford at all hours of the night with my sister and my mom, visited my other sister in pittsburgh and had free italian ice, and moved in to my new farmhouse home in Hartland, Vermont (in no particular order).

Yesterday I started my last internship of the year. I started by finding a standalone, and riding around the Lebanon/Hanover/White River Junction/Norwich area with Jenn Hauck, one of the photographers. I photographed a farmers market, then we took a side trip to get some delicious gelato.

When we returned, I learned how to file my images and discovered how willing everyone is to give a second opinion on an image- I had two people helping me with that part! I then ran off to a Field Hockey game, which was, as almost everything seems to be here, in a gorgeous place- the field was in a small valley surrounded by trees, which made for easy backgrounds and pretty good light.

I got back from field hockey, filed, learned of my picture page assignment (which will run in a week and a half), then drove home through a clear and very starry night.

Pretty good first day! I'm excited to see what I'll photograph over the next few days- and into the rest of the internship!
